I’m a California, Bay Area girl. Born in Oakland, raised in Vallejo. My father was from Alabama and wanted to see the world. His travels eventually led him to his future wife in the Philippines. They met. They married. And they remained husband and wife for forty-seven years.

Together they taught their four kids how to drive pick-up trucks, shoot guns and raise chickens to the background music of Charlie Pride and Johnny Cash and to value family and education. I’m also a product of the public-school system, back when they taught students home economics, drivers’ education, typing and music classes, all life skills I still use today.

I have a gift for being at a place before monumental change. During the 80s, I was ingrained in Hip Hop culture in NYC when Def Jam and Forty Acres And A Mule was kicking off and the LGBT community was fighting to stay alive and we were all marching on Washington. I lived in a loft in downtown Los Angeles waaaaay before it was trendy, when artists opened their lofts for spontaneous salons. And when I moved to Las Vegas, I had an insatiable desire for wedding cake so naturally, I became a wedding photographer. Pretty amazing pictures here.

I'm looking forward to bringing my film, scriptwriting, advertising and unique multicultural perspective to the next, new.
